Eid, it marks the end of Ramadan which is a month of fasting and prayer. Many Muslims dress in fine clothing and children receive gifts on Eid al-Fitr. Now the question is which day is Eid?
Look for the moon on Monday, July 4 (Eid to be on July 5 or 6). A lunar eclipse can be seen with the naked eye. If the moon is not sighted on July 4th, we will complete 30 days of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr would occur on Wednesday, July 6th.
The crescent (hilal) would be visible shortly after sunset, above the area where the sun had set.
Nishan Press wishes everybody a happy and peaceful Eid!
